PAINTING

I can paint just about anything I set my mind to, I think, but I really love to paint people like Amy Lee over here! --->>>
I painted her in 2015, and I recently sold the original work to a guy who was working the tech team for the Broadway show Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (which I got tickets to go to!) playing at the Walton Arts Center across the street from where I set up my art on Dickson Street. Then I turned her into a tapestry and T-shirt (etcetera on Society6) to immortalize her (see below!).
I love people! I also love painting and drawing flowers. I love painting abstract when my mind is tired and rambling, and I just need to put something pretty and simple down on a canvas.
I also just love hearing your ideas! Recently, I painted my boss lady's baby's room! She wanted an adventure theme for her baby, some landscape with pine trees, so I painted mountains and pine trees and a waterfall my son suggested, and she loves it! I will put pictures in the gallery! &#x1F601

Dreamcatchers

As you can see, I weave dreamcatchers. 😆 I love to make ones that glow like fire under a blacklight! You can almost hear the zing! 😆 This one with the lovely shroom in the middle of it was the first of its kind! I wrapped an old open disc frisbee with strips of a bandana I wore to Glow Rage (for those of you who don't know, that's a glow paint party featuring a DJ and paint cannons and it is such a blast! pun intended &#x1F606). Then, I wove it all at once in a span of something like seven hours, using neon embroidery string and star-shaped beads from my childhood. The shroom was a "happy accident", as Bob Ross would say! I was so happy with the result, I continued weaving for weeks selling several smaller ones over the course of a few months. I've also made a few bigger ones! I will attempt to gather all of the pictures of them into the gallery! Please reach out if you're interested in a personal piece! I also make non-glowy ones, for anyone who is more into earthy colors. &#x1F642

Dye Sublimation

Dye sublimation is a process that uses heat and special ink to bind the colors to the fabric or material that is being dyed. I started using this method of printing a few years ago with the help of a few different websites that were specifically geared towards selling products online to make some passive income. Artpal then Zazzle and now Society6. I am considering others as well such as Redbubble and Printly but have yet to find the time to set those ones up.

With these sites, customers have the ability to purchase just about anything with my art on it! This includes full-size tapestries and all-over-graphic T's and blankets and furniture and camp gear for festivals and cups and towels and phone and laptop cases and stickers and notebooks and masks and fanny packs and bags and leggings and pillows and yoga mats and tables and canvas prints..... and so much more that it's ridiculous! lol

The two pictures to the right are examples of paintings I painted and then later digitally enhanced so that I could post them online for people to buy, as just about whatever they want! I currently have over thirty designs available online, and I have every intention to add more in the future!

There are those websites that are good for printing large things and things I don't have the equipment for, and then there are the things I can now make with my own equipment! My partner and I invested in the supplies to print products and now we can make things like the Tiny Tapestries I invented with the recycled curtains my mother gave me "to do something with." We can also make shirts and small canvas prints and laminated posters and much more! Smaller products are easier for now until we are able to purchase a larger heat press, but we should be able to press things like coasters and wood and glass if it's flat enough and fits in the press. Contact us if you have an idea you'd like help with making come to life!
